Coming back from vacation was a reality check in the least. Although it was cold when we got back, it was the catch up that really sucked. We returned to the ranch around 1 am Tuesday morning and I had to go to work which meant I got about 3 hours of sleep before waking up to get ready for work.
Only problem was that the hot water heater wasn't working. We returned home to find out that the basement had flooded when a pipe busted going into the hot water heater. There were also issues with the water system up at the feedlot which left the cattle without water for most of Tuesday while Wes tried to figure that out.
The girls were so excited to see us as they each woke up Tuesday morning only to find out that they had to go to daycare. They actually adjusted to that news very well. I stumbled through the day and then crashed that evening by 9.
Wednesday was more of the same stumbling around home while I tried to get caught up and do some laundry. The suitcases didn't smell of warm sunshine as I had hoped. Instead they smelled like musty, damp clothes stuck in a suitcase (with lots of sand at the bottom).
This morning Wes woke me up and reminded me that today is Thursday and I work Thursdays. I am hoping that I will feel like my old self by tomorrow.
Last night we attended Ash Wednesday mass at 7 pm. The girls were all dressed up in tights and dresses and so very excited to go to baby Jesus's house. On the way home we stopped for gas. TJ wanted to go back to baby Jesus's house. I asked her what she would do there since we just left. Her reply, "pray again." AA piped up and said she need to pray too.
By the time we got home the girls were all sleeping so I just left them in their dresses and tights. BIG mistake. TJ woke up insisting she was wearing her tights to daycare along with the dress. AA of course had to join in. I finally talked them into wearing jeans to daycare and putting on their dresses when we get home. Sounded like a good deal until we got to daycare and one of the little girls was decked out in a dress and tights! She came right up to TJ and asked her if she liked her dress.
