Just a couple of days ago I was complaining about the -39 degree wind chill. Yesterday and today it has been in the 30s ABOVE zero! The snow is melting. The sun is shining. The bulls are starting to get frisky.
This is the view from my kitchen window. This is the bull pasture. After all the snow the bulls were prevented from getting to this side of the hill and down into the pens. I was surprised and encouraged to see the bulls once again. The snow is melting! Spring just may be around the corner. I can't wait!
Hello, once again boys. Pretty soon you will be reunited with the ladies. If you want to keep count the calf count is 1 of 5. Not one bull calf out of 5 calves born. That is 1 live calf out of 5 births. It has been a terrible start to the year. On the bright side at least the one live calf is a bull.
