In the hospital the night nurses were in charge of baths. The girls received baths every other night. I was able to give them a bath anytime I came in for a night feeding on those days. We wanted to get them accustomed to the idea of sharing "dirty" bath water early on so they don't complain about it when they get older.
I think I mentioned it before, but Audrey takes after Wes and loves her baths. I'm not saying that Wes loves to take baths, but just that he loves water. I plead the fifth on whether he also loves bathtime. (It might depend on whether bubbles are involved.) Tessa tends to deal with it as long as it is short. Audrey hangs out in the tub until she becomes a prune.
Naptime is still a foreign concept to me. I just can't do it. That will catch up to me I am sure. Generally, Wes will sleep right through both girls crying at night. I can stand right next to the bed with a screaming child and he won't even budge. Well, the lack of naps got to me on Wednesday night. Apparently, the girls were ready to eat (read crying). They cried long enough to wake up Wes and I slept through it. Me sleeping through them crying is enough to shame me into taking naps during the day.
