More Info...

I have to leave the photo posts up to Wes since he has to take the camera home to download them. I can give you the stats on the girls though and when Wes has time he will add more pictures.

Audrey and Tessa were born on July 11th at 8:41 and 8:43 pm. Audrey's water had broken that morning and we headed up to Bismarck to be checked out. The Dr hoped they would hang around for a minimum of a few days if not a week before being born. I labored for about 2.5 hours and then they were born via c-section.

They are both in isolettes, but are on room air (no respiratory support was needed). They are too small to suck yet, therefore, they are being fed through a nasal tube into their stomaches. Each feeding the nurses increases the amount they are fed. As of today, Audrey and Tess were both at 30 mL/feeding.

At the last weigh-in Audrey was 3 lb 12.25 oz and Tess was 4 lb 11.5 oz. The neonatalogist is pleased with their progress. The next hurdle they have ahead of them is learning to breath/suck/swallow. The girls will probably be in the NICU for at least 2 weeks. I am staying with a family friend here in Bismarck. Wes will be making the trip back and forth to visit as often as possible.

Thank you to everyone for all the support we have received so far. The four of us appreciate it more than you can know.

Love,
Wes, Teresa, Audrey and Tess
