Little girls in the field...

Yep, that's an original post title.  I try to take my camera out with me whenever we are running around the ranch just in case a picture moment arises.  Someday I might learn to take "good" pictures, but for now I love snapping photos of my girls enjoying the outdoors and all that ranching offers them.

On this particular day the girls were taking turns in the combine with Grandpa while the other two explored down by the creek.  The baby was snoozing in the a/c in Burb.

TJ and Lil

The reason I don't bother trying to take "good" pics is that I never can capture all three of them looking or smiling at me at the same time.  Can you imagine what 4 girls will be like?

Lil is just one big goof ball.  Striking a pose trying to keep the hair out of her eyes.

She's in the squinting stage.  I clearly remember when my niece, Olivia, was in this stage.  All the pictures I got from my SIL of Olivia had this exact same face.  I thought it was hilarious back then.  I still find it funny, but I sure would like one picture of her smiling pretty.

Lil hanging out in the buckwheat field.

I'm working on a blog post about buckwheat.  I found it interesting as this was the first year we planted it.  My aunt saw a picture of the girls taken when the buckwheat was in full bloom and said she had just made buckwheat pancakes that morning at her bed and breakfast.  That comment got me thinking about following the process from field to fork.  More to come...

I love buckwheat too. My mom made buckwheat pancakes all the time when growing up.
