Egg dying...

This year I decided to try hard boiling my eggs in the oven.  Have you tried this?

While the cousins were visiting last week we baked "hard boiled" eggs.  It took 20 minutes at 350 degrees (I think).  I forgot to put the baking sheet under them.  Don't be like me.
Put a sheet under them in case one blows.
That happened to me.
In my clean oven.
It isn't clean anymore.

Learn from my mistake.

Here's the funny part.  It blew about 20 seconds before the timer went off.  Can you imagine what a surprise I would have gotten if I had opened the door a little sooner?
I think that might be the hidden danger in baking eggs.

They say the eggs are creamier this way.  I don't know if I could tell a difference, but they were done and yummy!

Coloring eggs with 5 little ones 4 and under is a challenge, but SO much fun!  They tried to be so patient and there were no spills.

And I've learned that all 3 girls LOVE egg salad sandwiches!

Here the kids are painting easter baskets made from paper plates, pipe cleaner handles and foam stickers for decorations.
