If you don't mind, and I don't think you do, I would like to expand on my comment the other day about all of us eating lunch for $6 outside the grocery story.
Here is the reality of that situation. The situation I find myself in almost every day. As the mom of 2 three-year-olds and a 19 month old I don't get to eat.
I get to eat. The love handles I have still prove that, but "my" food no longer exists.
It was hot dog and a can of pop for $1.
A brat and a can of pop for $1.50.
I ordered 3 hot dogs and 2 brats and that equaled $6.
One hot dog for AA.
One hot dog for TJ.
One hot dog for Lil.
Two brats for the hubby.
That was it.
I get to eat the crumbs after everyone else eats.
I spend the meal corralling children, making sure they are eating and not spilling their drinks. Then when the meltdown hits when they've had enough (as in enough of sitting still) I get to shove whatever food I can into my mouth on the way to the trash can before herding them back to wherever they are suppose to be.
I don't enjoy eating out. Good thing I do enjoy cooking at home. Otherwise, I'd starve.
Though I would love to starve those love-handles right off my sides...
