What was I thinking?
I started really potty training the twins last Friday.
22 month old twins and a nursing 4 month old. Not a great combination.
Day One:
I loaded up the Bissel SpotBot with cleaner and had the rags ready.
Audrey did amazingly well, I thought, for her first day.
Tessa not up to Audrey's standards, but still good for her first day.
Day Two:
I don't think Audrey peed on the floor once and she almost made it to the potty to go number 2. I was impressed and perhaps got cocky.
Tessa didn't pee at all (what a little turkey). Well, only after naptimes before I got her diaper off. I didn't have to use the SpotBot once.
Day Three:
Audrey still doing good. Spent most of the day either in underwear or naked.
Tessa repeated Day Two. No pee in the potty or on the floor until right before supper. That is when I looked over when she alerted me to see her peeing standing up like a boy while swooshing her hand through the stream. SpotBot used. I actually think she was a bit scared because Day Four brought...
Day Four:
Tessa downright refused to sit on the potty most of the day. She kept dancing around holding herself, but she would only sit on the potty for less than 30 seconds before heading off again.
Audrey had several accidents, too. The SpotBot got used a lot today. For number one and two.
I was happy that today ended. Tomorrow is a new day and we will see how things go. They wake up from naps and most nights dry so I hope that continues while we head down the potty training road.
