More winter...

Winter just won't leave. After all the thawing and flooding that occurred Mother Nature decided to dump some snow on us. We are always grateful for the moisture, but this was uncalled for.
The Trailblazer is under there somewhere.
Here is a recent picture of Briggs from when we were home the other week. Love them blue eyes!
Things have gotten crazy around here and I haven't had the time to sit down and update you all on what is happening. The snowball started when we headed home to WI.
I was delayed an extra day due to weather conditions in ND. Flooding in the east and snow covered roads in the west. I had work to catch up on and I was missing out on a lot of sleep.
Tessa Jane decided to stop sleeping through the night. Granted she had a tooth that had just popped through and she was fighting a slight cold, but it was ridiculous.
Up by 3 AM and refusing to sleep. And she is SO happy. Seriously. Happy. Nap time was basically nonexistent last week, too. She had incredibly huge bags under her eyes, but she was determined not to sleep. I have been dragging in the last week. I think she has turned the corner and is starting to sleep better.
Tooth count: Audrey has 2 and Tessa has 1.

Tessa is figuring out crawling (mainly on her belly yet) and Audrey has no detemination yet. Audrey gets up on all four. She does push ups. And she will scoot backwards, but very little forward motion. Tessa has been moving for over a month.
Audrey has a huge heart and we can tell already. She insists on sharing all of her toys with Tessa. It really melts a mother's heart. This is the typical senario: both girls are playing with their own toy when Tessa spots Audrey's toy; Tessa (being the mobile one) takes off across the room and steals Audrey's toy. Sorry, Tessa doesn't steal it. I mean Audrey being a kind hearted girl gives her toy to Tessa. She knows the meaning of sharing already.
If Tessa keeps this up, I see many, many fights in the future if we don't learn about sharing.
It sounds like we are in for another winter storm (possibly two yet in April) this week. Calving was tough during the last winter storm that hit a day after I arrived home from WI. So far Wes and I have lost 13 calves. Normal death loss is 3% and we are in the double digits right now. It has been hard to keep the spirits up around here.
Praying for a turn around in the calf crop!
