I'm back!

Ok. I've been away for a bit. We were busy trying to get back on a schedule after all of the family left. We have also been making trips to different doctors in Dickinson, Bismarck and Fargo. As for the doctor's appointments, Audrey is on 100% breastmilk and Tessa is working her way back on to breastmilk. We made the switch a couple of weeks ago and Audrey has been doing fine. Unfortunately, Tessa started having blood in her stools again. It was a milder case compared to when they were in the hospital, but still a cause for concern. Tessa was put back on the Neocate formula until the rest of the blood work came back.

The trip to Fargo was to a pediatric allergist. Skin tests and blood tests came back negative for the 20 different allergens they tested for. A pediatric gastroenterologist consulted on Tessa's case and felt that a little blood in the stool would be tolerable as long as she didn't become anemic. We were told to transition her back onto breastmilk over a period of two weeks. She is now receiving 1/3 breastmilk and 2/3 formula. As of now, she is doing great and we pray that she is finally able to get off of the formula. Originally, they had my diet restricted to no wheat, eggs, nuts and dairy. After the allergy testing they still have me off of dairy even though they show no signs of an allergy (just as a precaution). I am drinking rice milk and having a hard time avoiding cheese. I think every recipe that I make has cheese and or sour cream in it. This is making meal time preparation hard. Don't tell Wes how often I use rice or soy milk instead of cow milk in recipes.

The girls are starting to sleep a good 4 hours at night and last night they went almost 5. I guess that is why I actually found myself awake enough to get on here and post!

Here are some pictures I took last week. Grandma Carol made the dresses for the girls to wear for baptism.

First up is Tessa J.

And now for Little Miss Audrey...

A little bling from their Aunt Janet!

And by now you can probably tell that is Audrey on the left and Tessa on the right.
