French dip...

Here's what is cooking for supper tonight:

French Dip

Beef chuck roast (today I used a sirlion tip roast)
2 c Beef stock
6 oz red wine
1 t garlic powder
1 t salt
1/2 t pepper
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 envelope onion soup mix

Mix all and pour over roast in crock pot.  Cook 6-8 hours in slow cooker.  Remove, leet rest for 15 minutes covered in aluminum foil.  Slice.  Return to juices, cook 30 minutes.  Toast rolls.  Dip in juices.

I didn't have an envelope of onion soup mix so I often have to make it from scratch.

Onion Soup Mix (1 envelope)
1/4 c onion flakes
2 T beef boullion granules
1/4 t onion powder
1/4 t parsley flakes
1/8 t celery seeds
1/8 t paprika
1/8 t pepper
