Miss L's birth...

For this pregnancy I was so blessed to have my mom come up to ND to help with the older 3 girls after my c-section.  I ended up asking her to come one week earlier than expected and, boy, am I glad I did.

She arrived on Thursday.  I had been having contractions all day about 9 mintues apart.  On Friday my OB decided I should head up to get checked out since we were having a c-section and she didn't want me to get too far.  Well, I got sent home on Friday night by the nurse from hell.

Belly shot from about 2 weeks pre-delivery.

Saturday evening around 9 pm as we were putting the girls to bed my water broke.  Wes and I headed up to the hospital about an hour later when the girls fell asleep.  Mom's timing was right on.

The nurse from hell was on again (yippee!).  When she saw me my snarkiness came out and I said, "told you I'd be back."  The anesthesiologist told me she was on the night before and tried to convince them to just do the c-section last night, but now she was called back for me today.  She was a sweet lady and really helped me through the c-section.  I ended up really shaky which they said was normal from the hormones, but my arms just kept jerking around before and after the surgery.

My sweet little girl arrived at 12:28 am on Sunday, May 20th.  She was screaming mad and has dark hair.

Meeting Miss L for the first time.  Still in surgery getting sewn up.  Wes always gets to wear the coolest outfits in there.
(He also usually has to go in just his socks because the booties don't fit over his big cowboy boots.)

Miss L at 18.5" and 7 lbs 1 oz.

Finally snuggled up with mom in our room.

Their first look at their new baby sister!  So incredibly excited.

Lil and Miss L for the first time.

AA is beyond excited to have a new baby sister.  She has the biggest smile everytime Miss L is near.  She is my kind hearted, soft-spoken, loving child.

TJ gets her chance to snuggle with Miss L, too.
