I passed my glucose tolerance test! I've been dreading the test for weeks now. I knew my chances of having gestational diabetes was higher this time around since I had it with the twins. The doctor wanted me to take it at 24 weeks instead of 28 because of this. I've been eating Halloween candy like crazy the last few weeks in anticipation of failing the test.
Well, now I passed and I have to back off on the candy anyways! You just can't win.
The girls got their chicken pox vaccine on October 5th. A week later I noticed a couple of "spots" under Audrey's arm. I left for Fargo for a 4 day conference. Wes then had to deal with both girls coming down with a reaction to the vaccine. I don't know what it is actually called, but it is like fake chicken pox. Not contagious, but some children react to the vaccine. Of course, both of my girls had to react. Tessa ended up with a fever and pox on her butt. Audrey had pox just under one arm and that side of her chest.
They didn't sleep well for Wes during this time. Tessa is also pushing some molars and that didn't help at all.
But somehow it has turned around for the better. My "let's wake up and play at 4:30 am" girls have turned into "let's sleep until almost 7" girls! The last three days I've had to wake them up (especially Audrey) to get them fed and changed before we head out the door.
Honestly, I miss my time with them in the morning. We seem so rushed now.
